The device does not recognize the command when trying to input an Avermedia capture device
You may get the error "The device does not recognize the command" when trying to input one of the following Avermedia USB Capture devices:
Avermedia C835 or Avermedia LGP Lite
Avermedia C875 or Live Gamer Portable
Avermedia C875 or Live Gamer Portable
These capture devices are 32bit only. Meaning they will only work with the 32bit version of vMix and not the 64bit version.
To open the 32bit version of vMix, browse to the location where you installed vMix to (which by default will usually be C:\Program Files (x86)\vMix\ ). Then open the application called vMix only - which will be 32bit (the one called vMix64 is the 64bit version).
After that go to Add Input -> Camera and try adding your Avermedia capture device instead
If you still get the error message after using vMix 32bit
You may get the same error again in the 32bit version of vMix. If that is the case, you will need to download and install the "LGP Stream Engine" from the Avermedia website:
https://www.avermedia.com/gaming/download/live_gamer_portable
https://www.avermedia.com/gaming/download/live_gamer_portable
Once you have installed it, open the 32bit version of vMix and from the Camera input menu you will need to select the LGP Stream Engine from the dropdown menu instead. This should then work correctly in vMix.
